With high winds blowing all night and again today the offshore trip was canceled so we were forced to go inshore again. Once again it was a 2 boat trip. We boarded at sunrise ran down the river without fog. That was a good start.
Unfortunately that was the only good thing about the morning. It was 11:00 and still not a bite. Only exciting part of the morning was a blowout.
Did I mention not much happening?????? All kidding aside notice all the rozos being blown in one direction.
With the strong wind I was able to make a long cast to a far off point and hook up to a fish right away. I hand it to my customer and he proceeds to loose it. Another long cast to the other side and my cork goes under but then comes up. I move across the cut to the other side and we start picking at a few fish. This was our first in the boat at almost 11:30.
Unless something happens soon It will be a long day and not much fish cleaning. This move paid off. In about an hour we had 9 in the box. From there on we just picked at them. It seemed they were all out of the same mold.
All the other boats in the area left but we stuck it out till we had Our limit. We were done at 2:20 and headed for the barn. We only took a picture of our first and last fish. The rest of the time we fished hard.
I had 2 good days with these guys and today we limited out.
Life is Good!
Fishing is not a matter of life or death. It's more important than that.
