Calcasieu River bassin!

Headed out to the river today via ward 8 park. Didn't kno what to expect. Started out in Dan's Bay throwing a jumping minnow. Did good catching 5 pickles. Decided to head north and the water was not moving hardly at all. Not a bite. heade back around the launch and fished around the camps with a wacky worm. The water had some movement and it pad off. Ended the day with 4 keepers! I saw alot of shad but no schooling action.

i was also on river today fished 3hrs had 2 bass 1 bream not good at all

I hear you speckulator! It started out looking good and then slowed to a halt. When i realized i needed current it picked up for the better!! This rain has shut all that down again!!!
