fished saturday out of fourchon. arrived at the landing to find rain a super high water. it stopped raining so we launched the boat the water was so high and the fish were deep in the flooded grass making it hard to reach em w/o a weedless lure. caught 5 reds then it started to pour rain hauled butt put the boat on the trailer and started to head home but when we were passing the golden meadow boat luanch the skies looked clear so we said screw it lets go. we found pretty high water in g med as well but the tide was falling i caught 5 more reds here and we called it a day hearing back to baton rouge. alll fish caught on spinnerbaits and tagged/realesed i'm really getting into this tagging program partly because i dont feel like cleaning fish!, but mostly because im starting to see its not all about the killing , its becoming more sport and technique that im enjoying plus my freezer is full !! all in all we didnt smoke em but it was a great day on the water

i like that redfish magic! Those are some great pics, I agree about the releasing thing I am getting tired of cleaning fish. After I feed all my friends I will be taking pictures instead of an ice chest.

i dont know what kind of camera you have, but great pics and some pretty good fish too lol It looks like curados ya'll are using.. How do they hold up in saltwater? I have one but afraid to bring it with me. Do you rinse them or anything after every trip?

I don't think there is a Lifetime warrant....unless that has changed in the past year or two. Only 1 year warranty on material defects. |

Curados cleaning
It is never....NEVER....recommended to soak the Curados to clean them. And never squirt them with a hose. To much water on the reel will allow water to get inside and damage the bearings. Shimano recomends that you wipe the reels off with a damp cloth. I was washing my curado with the hose and sometimes soaking it in a bucket of water. After a year and a half.....three of the bearings inside were badly rusted. Now I either wipe off the reel or very lightly rinse off the reel. I open up the reel every 3 to 6 fishing trips and put a drop of oil on the bearings and sometime do a little cleaning. It has been 4+ years since having the bearing replaced and the reel still preforms very well. |

is the curado not stainless insides?
or is it just not high quality stainless, because i know that low-mid quality stainless will rust as fast as regular metal |
