Default Albino teal
A buddy of mine who hunts in klondike just sent me a piture of an albino teal his dad shot this morning at there lease. Will post picture when i get off this afternoon. He also said that there's thousands of new birds down.

I had spotted an albino about three days before teal opened. Aint seen it again since . Sure would have been nice to put her on the wall..

Poor white thing didn't have a chance! I bet it stuck out like a neon light. Most of us may never see an albino, much less kill one. Yes, we are jealous! lol

That duck is leucistic, meaning reduced pigment, albinos lack pigment all together would be snow white and have a pink eye. True albinos are extremely rare, leucisim is not at all common, but much more common that albinism. Still very rare to actually shoot one

One other thing while we are talking! You often here about 'black' squirrels, there are 2 kinds of black squirrels - melanistic and agouti. Melanistic are jet black and more rare, whereas an agouti is one that is overall dark but the hair has bands of different colors in it. They seem to be getting more common too, not sure what is going on there, maybe global warming? or it could be Bush's fault!
