have you thought about training it yourself? Read the book "Water Dog" and you'd be surprised at how it comes out. How olds the dog? What breed? Color? Got any pics? Training isn't hard, hell Raymond can do it so it cant be that hard, just takes a lot of time and repetition is key.

![]() Suggest finding a more up to date source of information than WD,it never was much of a training book. There are many DVD's on the market now that will help if you will invest the time. CajunForman is one on the site that has taken me up on help and he might be able to explain what it takes to train with me. Basic obiedience is pretty straight forward and easily followed from the dvd's. You will get an idea of what is done to produce a solid dog. Marks are not thrown from your side but out in a field where the dog can learn depth perception and negotiate obsticles. I am always training and have great property, when the pup is old enough come down and I will help you out as much as you want. I would however find professional help when it is time to force fetch the dog. This is not an area that newbies should play with. |

Yes, I did take Raymond up on his offer to help me out. For my cousin and I, he has been a very BIG help in getting our dogs to the level they're at today. I'm certainly no a professional but I will tell you this if you don't have the time to mess with them everyday I would just send him to a professional. The DVDs are a very big help but unless you really know what you are doing you will still have as Raymond says "Holes" in your program. Every dog is different so this is when experience comes in to play when you come across problems. Best of Luck to ya!!
