Default J.B., Holly Beach and Rutherfords Beach

Hit Johnson Bayou beach this morning, water dirty and had some nice sized rollers coming from the South, even though the winds were very light.
Moved over to just South of where the old Ramy Boudreaux cow pen was, same there. Moved over to the East rocks are near Holly Beach, water was the same and saw some people camped out in tents.
Moved to Rutherfords Beach. Water was really dirty but not as bad waves as Holly Beach and there was some pogy moving around close in, which I didn't see any bait on J.B. and Holly Beach.
Didn't catch anything at any beaches. Went over to Speckdaddy's wading hole and there was 3 trucks already there with a few waders already in the water. So I hit the spot just South of the Pogy plant. Got a couple small trout on a Sparkle Beetle under a popping cork. Nothing to brag about.

Couldn't tell at J.B., or Holly Beach.
But at Rutherfords Beach, the birds were working about 200 to 300 yards out.
Saw zero birds working at J.B. and Holly Beach. They were just sitting on the sand.
Still not sure what the water looked like that far out.
I could not see the brown/green rip line from the beaches.

I didn't go by boat. This was surf fishing only.
I did see a couple of boats heading West on my way to Holly Beach.
I saw a buttload of boats going North and South when I was on the ferry and fishing
the ship channel. Lots of boats for a weekday.

Water in the channel looked good. But get there early. There were lots of waders and bank fishermen at every spot you could park this morning.
I don't know where the swells are coming from that is messing up the beaches, the winds were almost 0 mph this morning when I got to the first beach.

Thanks for the report. I am probably going to hit the surf in the morning. Still not sure yet. I wanna pull my boat down with me but I know if I pull my boat down, I will talk myself out of going to the surf. This report has me rethinking my whole plan now.

Now I'm second guessing myself on where to go. I tried the beach last Sat and found brown water. May just go take a peak anyway tomorrow morning. I just love the beach when it's on.

Same here, but I think we gonna still give it a shot. I second guessed the beach last Sunday and went out in boat instead. Asterisk and I only caught 8 and specksindasurf hit the beach and caught his limit.

My sister went and looked at the beach for me between 6 and 7 pm. It is still dirty and
there are still some small ground swells churning up the water on the beach.

Man today was great!!! Had to be home early so I stopped with 10 trout all over 3 lbs........

Wait.......I must be drunk......that's not the way it happened at all!!!!

Stopped at Martin beach first looking for bait......nuttin.
Headed east and stopped at every beach looking for bait movement.........nuttin.

At 3rd stop I found 2ft deep sand.......stuck......

Hour later......on the road again......went east till the end of the jetty's.....git on the beach and guess what I found????? Bait! To bad I had passed this spot 2 hours earlier????

Suns about to come up so I get all rigged up ready for a fun day of catching...........nothing........

And so another chapter in my life goes just like all the others........
a week late and a dollar short...........

Tim.....what was the wind doing while you were on the coast?

How did the water look and wave action?

The wind has mostly been light here at home...... ~ 45 miles from the coast and mostly coming out of the north.

My sister checked out the beaches for me yesterday evening.
Said the winds were kicking a little bit, but the water still looked bad.
Spectator and Specksindasurf are out there today too.
