Sabine River 8/17/2016
Tired of not fishing due to heavy rains. Caught 7, kept 3 using a Zoom Z Hog (4/0 hook, 1/4 oz weight) thrown around tree trunks near the bank from 4:00-7:45pm. Water was a bit high and discolored but nothing like I expected. I didn't fish where I would have preferred to but my boat is not fast so I stayed within a reasonable distance of the launch due to possibility of bad weather.
  Some days, you just gotta have the launch to yourself!  Ahh, the simple pleasures in life. Light rain and a Goodbar.

Good job! There's a V&M tournament the 27th out of Orange, you should fish it. You catch 5 of them I would imagine you'd have a good chance at a check.
