Default Cypremort Point 11/16/13

Well made another kayak trip and brought my dad along this time. Fished the cove from 8-1 and caught all day. We started next to the rocks but then moved out away from them and found the same reef that i fished last weekend. All caught on plastics, started electric chicken moved to pearl and chartreuse and then moved to just pearl. Most fish were caught dragging it slowly on the bottom (I watched my dad catching 6 trout to my 1 and couldn't figure out why, I guess he just had the magic touch he was hammering them and ended the day with more than me ), but when that would die down I switched to a crazy croaker pearl/chartreuse and they wouldn't leave it alone. After a while they would move back down the water column and we would start catching again on the bottom. Didn't have any problems with boats today seeing as they were mostly concentrated away from us towards the west. I think we ended the day catching a little over 40 between the two of us but we only kept the 14"-16" trout so we ended up with around 35 to take home. No pictures yet but I will post some later.

sweet catch man!! Were these 14-16" trout pulling like some 18-20s or is that just me? The ones we were catching just felt stronger than normal

yeah they were pulling hard, the bigger ones didn't pull as much or as aggressive as the smaller ones.
