FlagUS Best School in Acadia!

Got to be part of an awesome mass this morning, thanks to the faculty, staff, and students of Rayne Catholic. They honored "Red Ribbon Week" by inviting police, fire, and military service to be their guest of honor. Men and women representing Rayne Fire Department, Rayne Police Department, Crowley Fire Department, Jennings Police Department, Acadia Parish Sheriff Department, and the US Army were on hand. I took a minute to snap a picture with my extended "sons" who are the 8th graders playing football at RCE. Good look tonight gentlemen as you battle Opelousas Catholic. St. Michael, pray for us!

You got that right! RCE is doing some great things in sports as well as academics! Good luck to ya'll tonight.

The RCE third/fouth grade football team went undefeated, and unscored upon to win the league. Those older boys are leaving them some big shoes to fill, but I think they are up to the challenge!

Heard they shut out OC last night. A guy I work with has a son that plays for OC, he said it wasn't pretty.

Yes, we won last night 28-0 and play Lafayette Christian next Wednesday for the Championship! I would not say "it wasn't pretty" by any means. We were up 12-0 at half, because of one break away run for score, and one sustained drive for score. OC had a game plan and executed it well that gave us fits in the first half. After some halftime adjustments and a tune up for our O-line, we changed the momentum in the 2nd half. Kudos the to the coaches and parents of OC. They are the best at sportsmanship and good technique, and great at promoting the true sport of grid iron football!
