Cheers Bull Reds Save The Day 3-14-13

Doug, Kathy, Garner, and Lucy Wall fished with me today. A windy start to the morning made the trout bite tough. Our first stop only produced a few fish before the water dirtied up, so we were on the move. Second and third stop found beautiful clear water but only a few more trout willing to bite. We decided to make a run South so the kids could battle the bronze backs. It did not take long to find the bulls as they were hitting the crab within seconds of hitting the bottom. The kids and Mom had a blast reeling in the big brutes and dad had just as much fun watching them (all bull reds were released to fight again). Once the bite slowed down we headed back North to try out the marsh again. Crystal clear water found but only a few more fish to hit the deck. A tough day on the Du today with most people I spoke to only catching 10-30 fish. Bull reds saved the day for us. Thanks again Doug as it was a pleasure fishing with you again.
