Default Sentencing for illegal shrimpers

Wasn't these the 3 guys that were arrested and all kind of stuff came out about how the world was treating them bad and the government was taking away their ability to make a living, and how the refuge was the property of the citizens, and on and on and on. Didn't they go on TV and have a bunch of people up in arms about how they were only trying to shrimp like their ancestors did????????

So they placed a 36' trawl across the opening of the entrance to the marsh at night! - Just like grandpa use to do!! LMAO! - 30 days in jail straight from the courtroom, and hefty fines!!! BOOM! The hammer was dropped!!!

One of my former college professor's was an agent at one point in time. He said a lot of times he brought the shrimp and fish he confiscated to the needy around the parish. Not saying they all do it, though.

When they make a bust they being the shrimp to the dock and sell them. Sometimes the lawbreakers have to pay restitution back to the state for illegally taking them. The money from the sales goes into the LDWF general fund.

I don't think you'll ever see LDWF truck going Round giving away shrimp.
