Default Sabine Maiden Voyage

Made my first two trips to Sabine. Hit the lake early Tuesday morning with a co-worker and we were back at the office by 10 with our limit of trout. Drifted along the east bank and found some trout chasing shrimp. Did not see another boat.

Friday, the landing was full of boats, but 90% were headed south to fish for flounder. Hit the same area as we did on Tuesday, but the trout did not cooperate for the first few hours. Around 9 the light switch turned on and it was trout every cast. No wall hangers, but lots of action. Two different boats saw us catching trout two at a time and did not come close to us, that was a nice change. Saw some huge flounder at the landing.

We hit the duck blind on Saturday with the stiff north winds and came out with 9 birds. Slow, but the few biirds we had came right in. Should have had a few more.

About 1:45. Only 45 minutes from work. Living in Humble doesn't make it easy.

I would guess 1 hour, but I am not familiar with the launches on Sabine.
