Exclamation Salty Cajun Christmas Drive

Guys it is November 6th, we need to get on the ball and start getting volunteers to make this happen again this year. This is the link to last years drive if anyone has any questions I believe this is the same basic format we will be using. Corey (southern151) and myself are both willing to be involved again but we will need some help with it. Once we get a game plan together could one of the mods please make a new sticky thread like last year.

Let's get this thing rolling guys! I would really like to see us raise enough $ to pick up a 3rd family this year!

We have two deserving families already. One east and one west. Everyone involved in the fundraising is too busy to cram it into a 2 week scramble so, it would help to be a little proactive.

I'll start a thread tomorrow giving "the official" thread. I have to update my PayPal in the morning and I'll put it up.

Thanks everybody! I'll get all the info in the am.

As of now, we have 2 SC members who know a family in need. That being said, let's see how much we can raise. Perhaps we can pull off a 3rd family if the funding is there! We spent about $1500 per family last year and, even with that amount, we had to spend carefully! It sounds like a lot but, by the time you do clothing, grocery gift cards, a REAL CHRISTMAS dinner, etc, it goes fast!

Anyone who wasn't here this time last year who may have questions about how this works or, what we have managed to do for families in the past, feel free to call my cell. I'll be up till about 10 tonight and I carry it all day during the week. You may also catch me at my shop Monday thru Friday at 225-647-2772. Oh yeah, my cell is 580-716-4995.

I have several businesses in the local area, including mine that will be chipping in on this year's drive!

Thanks,

Corey Fisher

Yes.... Giving the money is the easy part.

Delivering that stuff and trying not to cry like a baby is the hard part.

I will figure out this weekend what type of prizes I have to donate for a drawing for everyone that enters. Paul M has a rod donated by Stick-Em rods that we will be awarding to someone. M&K CPAS (my accounting firm) will make a donation and Salty Cajun will donate prizes.
