Default Plenty of big ducks in the marsh

Had a pretty good hunt on the teal Saturday morning. Saw a number of flocks of big ducks. The highlight of the morning was a pair of widgeon pitching into the dekes. Thats right, widgeon. The cool thing was I could identify the male already. We also saw pintail, greys, whistlers, and Mottled ducks. The largely chastized shoveler was vacant on Saturday.

I wonder if the migration is on a little early this year.

The area I am talking about is just east of Mud Lake. Anyone else out there notice a large amount of big ducks.
