Default JB Rigs

Made a trip to the JB rigs with a two friends and we ended up with a nice mess of trissout'

Would not eat anything but live finnicky mullet. The trout were not being very aggresive, and very picky ONLY UPCURRENT also. Nice fish though and no sharks always a plus. But they are ou there boys, two small ling also not even o ver 30'. Watched thunder storm after thunderstorm form over the coast and move in-land ,but it was gourgeous 6 miles off-shore.

Found this deserter from Colorado on a rig by himself crazy!

It is the second settlement of camps heading west a good run. Usually worth it though, usually see more Texas boats than LA boats it is so close to Sabine Jetty's. We saw a boat flyfishing yesterday afternoon at the same set of rigs. They were from Texas and trying to catch triple tail and ling at all those small jack-ups.

They have been there since I was a kid, they are not pressured too much, and also sit in about 25ft. of water. so they are very good rigs for trout. YOU HAVE to have mullet or shrimp preferablly both..

I worked at Sabine Block 10/17 and 40 a few years ago. It was an 8 pile platform and a 4 pile platform connected with a catwalk. Sabine Block 40 was a small 4 pile jacket with a heliport about 1/2 mile from Sabine 10. It was great speck fishing when the water was clear. Only bad thing was the hardheads.
It was not far from the Sabine jetties.
