Default Big lake 5-7

Well last minute canceling of passengers had me on the water alone. Armed with some sand eels, crazy croaker, hackberry hustlers, and a few top warers, 1/2 quart of live shrimp and a popping cork I launched at calc. Point and proceeded turners at around 6:40ish. There were about 40-50 boats there and I just stayed about 100yds or so between some and started throwing. I set out the popping cork, fished artificial slowly on the bottom, and worked the top water all at the same time... Talk about work lol! Caught sone croaker... Upgraded the popping cork with the croaker... The h.h. Got bitten in half a few times!... And nada on the top water. After about 2hrs I picked up anchor and at the marker near the channel and the end of turners island fished fit around 1/2 hr. An older couple said the caught a small hammer head and a stingray so I tried my luck. After a few more frail attempts I headed back north, was going to head to prien but ended up towing another family in. My poor lil 60 wasn't liking the duty of pulling a huge metal boat with a 225 haha but it managed. With mixed emotions and not sure of trying prien with time running out with stuff to do that day and the wind getting stronger, I slowed the boat down at the rigs that are setup at the intersection, there were a few birds so I threw the same setup. Once the 5-6" croaker hit the water and I casted the other setups bam nice fish ripping drag! God must have helped out after the good deed I did I guess because until then not too much was happening. Fished the remaining day there with no other bites. Pulled off went to the south end of LNG, got pulled over by the coast guard, and then back at the launch... Anyone want to go one day and help load the boat of some slabs, and give me some pointers on working the artificials better give me a shout. Happy mothers day!
