Default Contraband Game Wardens

Had the luxury of getting stopped by a game warden this past Friday on Prien Lake. They were checking for life jackets, throws, and fire extinguishers (AKA ALCOHOL). Made the news for it!! Burned my britches when i couldnt find my fire extinguisher... after 10 minutes of searching and the officer almost completing the ticket.... BAM I FOUDN IT!!! It somehow rolled under my hull. Officer was talking into the camera the whole time... SHOW BOAT. Check your boats before going to Contraband or fishing on the weekends. Everyone is getting stopped.

I agree that sometimes they go a little overboard but for the most part the G/W's are the good guys doing their jobs. Like all things in this world, no one ever talks about the good things they do everyday.

ohh I TOTALLY agree 100%... They were there to protect the public. I was just warning everyone to check before they go in order to avoid a ticket. My beef was with myself, as I usually know where everything is in my boat.

Yep, I have a 15' boat and now you have to wear the life jackets when you are running and I got a warning last year about having to have a fire extinguisher because i have a floor in the boat. Did you have to sign a release or anything for them to use your pic on TV?

Uhhhhhhhhh........yes they can! It's called "news" in the public eye! Unless you tell them to blur your face, they have every right to air on TV the video which is shot in the public view.

3x in one day, leaving the landing, in the ship channel, and back at the landing... Seems like it was around Contraband as well...

Life jackets on, kill switch, straight and level down the ship channel with my daughter on board... When we were being checked, a cigarrette boat (flame job and all) blew by at mach 5 with waaaaay too many people on board waving their longneck beer bottles at us...

I know these guys are doing their jobs, but come on ....

Dont go to grand isle !!! 4 times a day is the norm in the summer.
You got LDWF and the coasties. At least w/ the coasties you can show em your yellow sheet.
LDWF is worse than a pilgrum .They will run up on you and screw up the fishin real fast.
