The cops are the experts on the current criminal trends. If they have determined that a “high capacity” semiautomatic pistol and a .223 semiautomatic rifle with 30-round magazines are the best firearms for them to use to protect people like me and my family, they are obviously the best things for us to use to protect ourselves and our families .

What a day! It's funny that I still remember when all of this was coming together. I watched it from another site and saw it develop into what we have today. Pretty cool to see how far the site has come in a year's time!

Last year on Sunday morning, May 3rd, I logged onto www.saltycajun.com. I had hopes and dreams that the site would succeed but, at that time, that's all they were....hopes and dreams. Now, a year later, I realize that those hopes have been exceeded and the dreams have become reality. So many people told Bruce, W and myself that we would never make it......"too much competition", they said. W said we took down one site and started another...all in a week's time. It's been a great year and I've enjoyed every minute of it. I've met some super doods from saltycajun and am lookin' forward to meeting more of you guys. I'd like to give props to Shaddy, W and Bruce for making this site a contender...not a pretender. Also, to Chip and SULFIGHT for filling the duties as mods. Damn shame, tho.....it took both of 'em to take my place. Let's all strive to make this site a place where everybody wants to be. Here's to another great year..........
