Default Big Lake 2/28/10

Man, what a beautiful day on the water. Weather and conditions were near perfect and not many boats running the lake early. We ran the length of the lake checking different spots. Water was pretty nice from mid-lake south. Found the armada of oyster boats on the south end, I didnt know Cameron had that many boats. Fishing still isnt were it needs to be. We managed to put some "W" sized trout in the boat, but nothing to jump up and down about. Everything was caught on jerk jr's and will be eaten in a timely fashion. Micah has the pictures on his camera and I'm sure he will post em up as soon as he gets home. Hope everyone else had as much fun on the water today as we did.

It was nice aight. But no fish for me and the fadda in law but one rat red. And no trout. Had little time and patience for trout. Glad to hear ya'll did good. The water was gorgeous and not a cloud in the sky. it was a circus at the first weirs. Kinda like sittin' at a boat ramp....

We put a few fish in the boat awell today. When we passed by the 1st weir it looked like some one had stepped in a ant hill. They where playing tug a war with each other it was funny.

OK, here is our big catch. All "W" keepers" that will kook up well

Weather was fantastic, but water and fishing was not. Water temp was around 56 degrees. Turners was muddier than a sewer ditch. Better water was south, but so was the Oyster Armada. Must be a run on Oysters Bienville as if there wasn't 100 of em there wasn't one.

No fish, but we did test out both the Okuma baitcaster and the spinner and they were awesome to say the least. Let's hope for a solid weather run the next two weeks!!!
