Fishing holly beach tomorrow

Hey guys, I was planning on going crabbing this weekend but I think I've decided to go try surf fishing at holly beach instead. It's been a really long time since I've been so some advice on what to use would really be appreciated.

Heard a few people caught a handful of trout and reds on live shrimp last Saturday. Buddy went with plastics and didn't catch squat. Ended up going crabbing.
