Windy Post Front Trout 10-4-14

Day two with Daniel Louque and crew started out looking bad with 25-30 mph winds. I went to check a new area we haven't fished yet, but only found dirty water. We made a move and found cleaner water and right away started picking at the fish under corks with Shrimp Cocktail Vortex Shad and Purple Haze Vortex Shad. After the bite played out we ran and checked another area and found birds diving on shrimp. The double rigs came out and the trout started flying into the K2. Picking through the smaller trout, as most of the trout under the birds have been averaging 11-13 inches. Purple Haze, Green Hornet, and Shrimp Cocktail colors in Vortex and Matrix have been working best all rigged on 1/4 Golden Eye jig heads. The guys put a good mess of fish together in the horrific conditions. Thanks guys for two great days and thanks to Capt Travis for setting things up.
