Default Crawfish pot

I've been using a 60 qt crawfish pot since 1987-it has served me very well through the years. At best I can put about 3/4 of a sack at a time. Now I'm thinking about upsizing. My question is, what size would let me throw in a 35-37 lb sack all at once? Would an 80 qt do it, or should I go with a 100 qt?

Depends on the basket. My 80qt has a basket that's 2" from the pot all the way around. I can barely fit a full sack. Some pots have baskets that fill the pot better.

Good point. I've noticed one particular pot at Winn Dixie has a basket the barely fits into the pot. Problem is they aren't high quality like some.

Have you a basket made out of expanded or perforated aluminum that will better fit your pot.
