Default I know we are'nt the only ones

We have 2 wonderful kiddos. One 18 and one 15 and as great as they are they are at times typical teenagers. I present this because we have a friend with a teenage daughter that is troublesome to put it lightly and is always asking for advice. The problem is she always tries to be he child's best friend. We all want and try to be our child's best friend but sometimes you gota set that aside and be Mom and Dad for a while IMO. If you have a teenage kid and they have never told their buddies my dad/mom is an a$$hole you aren't doing your job. How many of us thought that about our parents just to find out later they were right?

Funny you ask this its been 12 years today that I lost my Dad and there was plenty of times that I called my parents A holes just to find out later in life dam I should have listened and I agree there is a time to be a friend and a time to be a mean a$$ parent that's life
