Default Rock crabs?

Making a trip to Rockerfeller this weekend with the wife and kids, any crab reports? First time my daughter goes out there, sure would like to find some. I heard it was kinda slow at the weirs.

Sounds good, we'll give it a try. If the gators can just leave us alone They're plentiful at the mud hole.

Just bring an Obama supporter to keep the gators occupied.

Default went Wed pm to "da Rock"

yep, crabs were fairly good at the Mudhole, but the gators kept stealing my bait (sneaky suckers) so I left and tried LSU. BTW, there is one ginormous gator at the MH that seems to have lost all fear of humans so if you go there, be very careful with the little guys/gals. Caught some crabs at LSU, but the water there seems to be pretty ugly, like they haven't been opening the gates enough and the water is "stale". It was the same last time I was there about a month ago.

Shrimp were somewhat plentiful at MH, but they were so small and you had to wade through the baitfish to get to them so too much trouble for me. Shrimp were nice medium size at LSU, but only 3-4 per throw.

Was going to go back Thurs. a.m., but had motor trouble on the way in. Good luck.

I would skip the rock and go to sabine refuge on the way to hacberry . Alot nicer you can keep 5 dozen there and then go to joseph harbor to finnish your limit. Caught 12 dozen in no time 2 weeks ago
