Default Planning a trip to Big Lake in October ....

I'm planning a couple of trips on Big Lake for October & November for myself and companion, Christine. This will be the first time that I have fished Big Lake during the fall, and the last time I was on Big Lake was almost 2 years ago, ......so any tips or advice or warnings on running the lake, etc., would be appreciated.

Go on the opening day of hunting season. You will have the whole lake to yourself.
Stay away from all of Fool's spots.
