Default Pond Question

How many of you guys have a fish pond and how do you areate them? I run my jagger pump sometimes but was looking for a more permenate pump / areator. I saw some in Northern Tool but they are $$$$$$. I also thought maybe I could hook up a submersible pump and run the discharge up to have a makeshift fountain, but don't know if they have any for a fair price that are continuous duty. The pond is about 1/3 to 1/2 acre big average depth 4-8 ft, with the deepest hole going about 18 ft in the back corner. Just seeing what options are out there.

The Arkansas Pond Stockers truck was in Crowley today, i didn't have my wallet with me but, I had a little cash in my console and was able to get 25 bass to throw in. Last summer I had put some catfish and bream in it. I should have done some research before stocking it but it is kinda late for that now. Oh well, the kids sure enjoy it.

Thanks for any input.

Ive got an old submersible pump at the shop, actually a few...Ill give you one of them for a good price..and ill ask my father in law what he's got in his pond. It must be a good one because it runs all the time and has not gone out all the years ive been around..

When we together???? You make it sound like we a happy couple.....

I have the wire run to the pond just need to tie it in to the breaker box, I'll pick one up from you though. I just freaked out at the prices on for areaters online.

Pond aeration systems are expensive!!!! My pond is 12' at its deepest & 1 acre, avg depth I'd say is about 6-7', more id looked & researched I decided I didn't need one "yet", gonna let it go & see what happens. There several pumps I looked at Tractor supply that seem to be fairly reasonable.

I just don't know how to figure out if the pump will be big enough. I haven't run across that information yet. I'd rather not go through the trouble of hooking it up if it will do no good. But then again, anything should be better than nothing.

www.pondboss.com

I am not of the opinion you need much......a pump for a sewer system would work with a diffuser.
My pond is a half acre and eight years old.
I have roughly two acres draining into and overflow......keeps it just fine
