![]() I'm fixing to buy 6 new 6 volt batteries for my golf cart and am looking for suggestions on which kind to buy. Any body use the US Battery, Trojan Battery or Intersatat Battery before?? I'm tired of dealing with the cheap batteries that won't last a day hunting. Thanks. |

Interstate makes a good battery for this application. When you replace them, take the opportunity to remove and clean any ground you can find as a bad ground is not only common but, will also shorten battery life considerably.

I've called all the local cart dealers in Lafayette and they all switched from Trojan batteries to using US Batteries. I guess I will give these a try.

The best batteries are the ones you maintain. Keeping water full, charge everytime you use them and keeping all connectors clean. With that being said Trojan T105 batteries IMO have the best track record if you don't maintain them. This site will give you all information you need on the subject. Buggiesgonewild.com

Trojans are what a lot of boaters use for their inverter power.
They put them in series to get 12vdc, then hook an inverter to them to power their fridges and freezers when not hooked on shore power or generator power. They use 4 of these and they can power a fridge and freezer for 24 hours. Then have to be recharged. The Trojans are a good brand for this application. Charged and then discharged over and over again. However, I would go with what ever brand the most cart dealers recommend. Don't go with just one dealer. They might be getting a good deal on the brand they sell. Everyone has their opinions. |
