I have all three. Phone, pod, and pad. Until I got the pad I was still using computer for Internet and things like that. Since pad I barely use the computer at home. With the large screen on the pad you can pretty much do most of what you need here. And hooking up to the Internet is super quick.

It's basically a portable internet medium. Besides that and angry birds, I haven't found any other uses for it, but my kids love it...

Yea spending that kinda of money to watch some video and play some games is downright ridiculous. My laptop does all of that for much cheaper. That being said had to get one for the son because its the "it" thing.

Since I bought mine I cannot tell you the last time I used our home computer was. I can watch tv or movies, play games, read books, trade stocks, edit photos, the app center makes it so nice I can find an app for anything just about and to have it all n one place with next to no transition between applications is awesome. It cut way down on the amount of things I had to carry offshore each week. The kids watch movies onit in the car and there is a ton of learning apps for them as well and it much easier for them to operate vs a laptop. At 500 bucks it was a no brainer vs. a laptop it is worth every penny.
