Default Trout Report

Hi !! Guys!!! A friend and I made the maiden voyage in his new Sea- Chaser 23 LX Bay Runner yesterday.

Never used the 101# I-pilot. It's the bomb.

NICCCE BOAT. Handled the 2-3' ground swells first thing in the morning easliy. Wide and Spacious. Easy boat to fish.

Any who back to ther trout. Got a livewell full of perfect finger mullet.

Left FWC and headed South. Got to 46 and the water wasn't movnig at all. First cast a little tick, Damn cut off. Spanish!

Pull out the wire leaders. Nothing!!!

Headed to 52. Slick and HOTTT with a little 2' ground swell from the So.

Trolled around and tried mullet, and plastic. After about 1 hr. with one trout, and spanish, and many cut offs lost jigheads and plastic later. Also no current to speak of.

We went south. Pull up to 72 and a pack of about 6-8 cobia come up. None legal. Caught one about 10# and 28".

Oh I forgot, being a new boat. My friend doesn't have a measuring tape on board.

SO we couldn't measure any cobia if it was close to the 33" fork length.

Anyway nothing but cut offon plastic. Spanish and ladyfish on wire.

Jetted out to the east to 234 and throw some mullet. My firend hooked something big.

Chased it down and 30 minutes later put a 28-32# bull red inthe net. A couple of Iphone pic.'s later. Put him on the boga, and pulled him a few minutes. And off he went.

We fished our way thru Tiger Shoals and V31. Current finally started ripping. One well head we caught a few small white trout.

Headed in about 1:45 PM. Ran about 60-65 miles for one trout. I think if we had fished the late afternoon, we may have done better.

Thanks

Biggun
