Its on Katc.com and he says he will commute from Dallas to New Orleans. I can't say I blame him I wouldn't want to live in N.O.

Lots of coaches' families live in different towns than they coach in.

True but how many chose to live in a town where the Cowboys are based and the owner has huge pockets. I personally think he would be a good fit for Dallas and he is a proven winner which Jerry wants.

Cowboys already hired Jason Garrett as HC. If Payton would go there it would have to be for a GM job or something like that. He's not ready to do that yet. Now if Garrett loses, then maybe Payton could go to Dallas.

He lives in "The Sanctuary" in Mandeville. It is a far cry from New Orleans. Very nice sub division.

His wife and him got into a squabble with businesses on Magazine St. in NOLA.
They were backing a Pilates business that was building an out of code building.
It was all over the NOLA newspaper a couple months ago.
His wife was one of the principle defendants in the squabble.

90 minute flight from Dallas to N.O.. That is twice a day. That would get old.

He was probably making an hour and a half drive with traffic most days anyway. Plus he has his own jet. So it will be pretty easy and prolly more like an hour flight anyway

Private jet sounds costly.

The man makes millions of dollars a year. If he wants to buy a house in an upscale super exclusive place outside of dallas so what. It also has been reported he is keeping his house on the northshore. So he will probably stay in dallas in the offseason and back to nola when the season starts. I don't see him going anywhere as long as Drew is our quarterback.
