Default Outboard problems after cold weather

2002 Johnson 90 2stroke oil injected outboard problems........Well, went out to crank the outboard and 1st off, dead battery. Put it on the charger and tried to crank up the motor. It usually always fires right up...... This time it didn't. Almost acted like it was flooded but I gave it some throttle and it cranked up. It is not running on all 4 cylinders and I even put new plugs in. The motor will run (not correctly) idled up a bit and it still sprays water. Any ideas?

Take a fuel sample from your tank, look for water. How long has it setup without being used?

Last time I went out in the boat was Jan 29. It was run at least once a week before that too. I find it strange for it to just all of a sudden have problems right after the cold weather which is making me worry that there may be a major problem.

So Im starting to think it is a major prob. Hooked up to the water hose, it will run but not correctly. While its running, if you look at the bottom of the cowl, water is running out from there. Would this mean the whole power head will need to be replaced?

Update: my cousin is a diesel mechanic and is very familiar with outboards. After he looked at it, he discovered fuel spewing out of a crack in a hose. What I thought was water running out of the powerhead was really oil and fuel from the crack in the hose. I am pretty sure that this was the main source of my problem. I'll fix it and report back.
