I sunk some in Toledo with some guys before. They stood up the bambo in a 5 gallon bucket. Tied the bamboo into a tight bundle and filled the bucket with quick crete. Then we would ride to spot, cut the rope that was holding bundle together and it would open up. Than drop in water and mark on gps. I don't sac a lait fish but it was pretty cool to watch how they did it.

They have thin hard green bambo also.
The Baptist church in Cameron had a buttload growing behind it.
Not sure if Rita cleaned that out or not.
