Default Big Lake 12-19

Didn't hit the water until around 7:30 but man did we hit it at the right time. 1st cast I had a fish with a limit following there shortly. Took my brother-in-law, an east side fisherman, and it took him a while to catch on, but once he did he was grinning like a possum eating nuts! His first Big Lake trout was a nice 5lber. I am always iffy on colors, but I started the day trying out the Bubble Yum and had 14 fish in the box before my b-in-law had one. He switched from a dark color to the Pink/glow bait once he found my stash and finished respectably as we had our limit by 9:00.

With our early limit in hand the b-in-law wanted a red hole and I obliged by taking him to the wiers after stopping to get C. Edwards and his (future) b-in-law. An hour later we had 2 limits of reds in tow and called it a day.

PLEASE be careful out there as the water is extremely low, especially coming out of Heberts. It's about 1ft. deep a half mile out from Hebert's on in, and the landing depth wasn't even reading on the depth finder. I saw things sticking out of the water that looked like Stone Henge in places we normally run wide open

All fish were caught in waist deep water... Pics to come later.
