Cajun Microwave

My neighbor's wife is thinking about getting her husband a Cajun Microwave type cooker for Christmas. I am not sure what brand she is looking at. They asked me about them. I have never used one but have heard they cook well. My question is how well do they hold up? Do they rust out in our climate? Any recommendations for what she should get? She said the one she is looking at costs about $1200 and you can get scenes or words engraved on the sides.
