Dish Network or Direct TV? Pros and cons. Got to make a decision.

I have been on Direct TV for 6 years, I have to say that their service has been really, really good for us here in Crowley. When I had a reciever go out, had a replacement over night at the door.

For the price and hype of digital cable, I have 3 recievers, one of which is the DVR HD and I pay less than cable in our area.

I was on Dish at my old house, but the service has been better than Dish and I am happy!

Default Dish here...

I have Dish with the cheaper package $39.99 (America's top 120). I don't have as many channels as the more expensive stuff... but when I watch tv I can't tell the difference. I added the outdoor channel for $1.99 extra a month. I don't have HD or anything like that. I have never had a problem with the basic receiver, satelitte dish, or remotes. Have Dish network for about 4 years.

I've had Directv for 7-8 years and have been happy, but, if the signal continues to crap out durin' football season...I will be going back to cable.

Salty, don't know your situation, but mine was an issue about 3 years ago. They sent a tech out, adn the dish needed to be "tweaked" a little! I would give them a call and maybe somebody can swing by to check it.

direct t.v. has many more features and more options for hd etc....dish network now carries local channels and is cheaper. If direct had local channels, it would be no contest....but its definitely an option you need to consider.
