What's your's??

Came home today after a day of philosophical arguing with a group of corporate idiots on why we do business the way we do in South Louisiana and what do I smell?????


Red Beans......not your run of the mill out the can Blue Runner's mind you.....

The real deal

Rose on the wrapper
smothered with the holee trinity
smashed on the side the black iron pot
with Veron's hot sausage

RED BEANS!!!!!!

I am more of the cook here. Love to cook. As for comfort my wife knows how to do that better without food.....

a BIG bowl of spicy Vietnamese Pho soup!!! this stuff is like crack!...this Pho is from "Pho ly ly" in new iberia...hands down the best in SWLA...i drive from jennings to eat it lol

I lost my sense of taste and smell about a month ago. This thread makes me sad, what I would give to taste a bowl of red beans. Enjoy the beans they look great.

Oh yea....that's how I like my specklebelly's cooked with plenty of garlic thrown in. I can smell it cookin' in my grandmaw's kitchen just typing it.

My grandmother died about 25 years ago from diabetis (sp) and she lost almost all of her eye sight years before she passed but she could cook anything just about til the day she died. She never had a measuring cup or spoon and very few cookbooks if any. She did everything by sound, smell and feel....

always used to amaze me that she could fry your egg however you wanted it and never could see it...
