I got the boat i have now after retiring and installed a interstate 1000 cca cranking battery. I ran it 4 years and bought another and 2 new tm 27's in interstate. I had one tm battery that would not charge but to 70% for some reason. It was 20 days from one year warranty. The Nederland farm and ranch replaced it with new. I had two optima blue top tm that lasted 10 years and they just wouldn't be to strong after 6 hrs on the tm MK 70 (no Maximizer).

No such thing as best and cheapest. It's one or the other

I know this. I'm looking for a decent battery at a reasonable price and the best (cheapest) place to buy it. I'm sure there's somewhere that sells them at a lower price than the rest. |

We have a wholesale battery joint in lake Charles that sells reasonably priced delcos. Buy all my batteries there and have had good luck with them |

I agree. I've been doing some research and interstate seems to be one of the best for marine and they are $80 at Costco for 600CCA 750MCA Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Ended up going with the Interstate from Costco. It was right at $75 if I remember correctly. $20ish dollars cheaper than the local True Value.
