Moon Phase and Tides
Does the new moon tide screw up the bite as bad as I think I does? Yesterday's tide was back to back (I guess this is what they mean by flip flop?), with a fall and rise of .10-.13'. Water barely moving, and I fished hard from noon til dark, but barely caught anything and didn't land a a keeper.
Winds were howling out the east too, fished out of coco.
I did noticed that the few we caught were very lethargic. The trout would come out of the water and barely shake, I'd unhook and put them back in the water real quick, but hold them for a bit before letting them go. No more than 15 seconds out the water and they were rolling on their side and taking a bit to swim off - usually, we can pose for a pic with the kids and all that mess, and when you let them go they shoot out.
Are the puzzle pieces coming together, or am I over thinking it???
I'd like to hear from some guides - y'all blow my mind with constantly putting fish in the boat no matter the conditions. Hats off fellas!
