I moved around a lot yesterday, picking up small fish here and there, no numbers of which to speak.
The tide finally started moving pretty well and shortly thereafter I found a school of small fish stacked up. They were sitting on a ledge adjacent to a flat, and would let the vortex shad fall a foot before they hammered it. After that bite shut down it was already noon, so I peddled back to the launch.
If we don't get catastrophic amounts of rain, it should be turning on for a good fall soon!
