Default Redfish Grind

Saturday my plan was to fish for reds with cracked crab on the bottom so I had bought 5 dozen from Jug the night before. At daylight we loaded up the Blue Wave and blasted off. We get to the hole to be greeted with more water hyacinth than actual water to fish. We had to wait almost an hour before we could even send the baits back. After the lillies cleared we started soaking some crab. We got a few early bites and boated one red but the bite was intensely slow. When the tide stopped at 9:00 we took off to burn some banks with spoons. We found the redfish schooled up and on the chew. Shrimp under a cork did most of the catching with some gold spoon action but the guys put a good lick on them by noon and we called it. Good times with good friends! This is redfish time folks and the action will be great through October!
