Default Great day on Big Lake 7-18

Started off right were I left off last week. Well as far as catching fish that is. Just didn't run near as far for em this am. Had the bay to myself most of the morning. 3-4 guide boats came in but quickly left. A couple of em came thru during slack tide others came in and caught a couple small fish and left. When the tide was moving they had good fish in there mixed in. Fast action early with tide and then again couple hours later when it started going out. Had a lot of schools of reds come thru also but were so spooky u couldn't hardly get close enough to hook em. Caught fish all morning up to 1230-1. Was slow during slack tide but still caught enough to keep me from leaving. Finished my limit off with 4-5 13" fish during that slack time and should not have boxed them! Tide started up again and got right back on the 18"-20" trout. Biggest was 23". They were still biting when I left. After limiting out I caught another 20-25 fish easy. Gave the school of reds another try and caught 2 before spooking them again. That big red was first fish of the day. I'm going to keep trying for that big one but after watching schools of nice trout spook so easy day after day I'm wanting to give wade fishing a try. There were some big trout in there this am!
