Was sitting in the trout hole at 515 waiting for sun to rise. By 7am had 3 trout and the bite was slow and thankfully captain Jon out of calcasieu point gave me a half quart of shrimp cause I may have left. They sold out of live shrimp at 330 am. I'm glad I had the patience to stay cause it turned on bigtime and all plastic after that. Boated an easy 35 trout and caught a nice flounder for dinner tonight. It was an awesome day on the lake again even though I made an *** of myself fighting backlash after backlash in front of several guides. By the way i want to say thanks to them guys for being respectful when I was dead in the water several times in the middle of the school. I've done less and got a tongue lashing. But the fishing was that good! Instead of guys hollering to get out the way or out of my line they were like get in here and get u some boys!!! I know they made lifetime clients this am. Last night while on grave yards I restrung my reels with Stren. Tip ........ Do not use Stren!!!!!! I'm changing them back to Berkeley Trilene now.
