They've supported a number of more restrictive changes in limits (specks, tripletail, bow fishing) without good scientific data showing a need, and they also supported increased license fees.
Further, it has been shown that CCA TX and CCA LA are really one organization with co-mingled funds and at least a half dozen citizens of TX making six figure salaries. They spend a lot more $$$ on real and significant habitat improvements in TX, but spend more effort lobbying for more restrictive laws in LA.
They haven't done much on the real conservation issues facing Big Lake: oyster overharvesting, salt water intrusion, erosion, etc. But they did get the limit of specks lowered to 15 and a Tripletail limit imposed.
