George Horton and family joined me today on the Bluewave. We found the lake alive with shrimp jumping and birds flying everywhere in sight!! Plenty boats too!! Most of the flocks all had small fish under 12 inches. Our third stop found about ten keeper fish. We moved to a reef and boxed another 15. Made a drift picking away and got up to 30 plus fish when the bite and all bird activity came to a halt. We made a run to another location and found beautiful water, first cast produced a keeper! Drifted a good 100 yards only picking up a couple more fish. Another move found a couple more then we switched to plan B. Shrimp under a cork went out and two lines went down within 20 seconds. We thought it was game on, but only one other fish was to be had. Multiple other stops on points and reefs found zero fish. At 1 pm we headed to the dock with over forty fish. Incredible day considering no one I spoke to had over 20 fish. Matrix Shad double rigged, single rigged and under a cork with Crappie Psychic Trout Trailers did the trick on the trout.
