i haven't done much in the swamp with my ipilot but i do fish the canals in the bay.
the best to use is the compass setting, not the gps because of the current and wind. set it on a slow steady speed and let it go, make small course adjustments as necessary.
if the current and wind isnt too bad i will use the gps.
