I sometimes stop by the Intercoastal campground to clean fish or have launched there some. Always looks to be a safe place and fairly quite.
Not sure how the crabbing would be there.
Never been in the Jetty campground at Cameron. If the winds stay calm, like forecast, the fishing would probably be better there but you might have to watch the tides so you don't get caught having to paddle back upstream. Sometimes the tide can really start to move fast.
Crabbing should be better at Cameron and a good chance to have big Red take you for a ride. Bring a cast net for catching some live bait. Trout fishing has also been good along the ship channel.
