My younger brother has a kayak but we didn't take it this time. Just took a light load. But it was on my mind most of the time "Man if we just had your kayak"
Forgot to mention, for those who care. Took a look at the beach restoration project east of Holly as I drove by. It looks good - lots of sand. No driving on it though, not from the road at least. They got the fences up like those east of Holly but there are breaks where you can walk through to the beach. Only two or three places to park by the road from what I saw. You may can drive on it from Holly side but not sure, we didn't stop at Holly.
