I once saw two Vietnamese pull up by the surf near the opening out by whisky pass using live crawfish, we were catching a few trout there and laughed at them until after a few minutes they started bringing in huge reds and all manner of other fish from trout to flounders.
just goes to show you never know what bait will work best on any given day.
