Never wash a reel with a water hose or pressure washer.
Water will get into the reel and then the bearings.
Reels have no seals to keep the water out.
Back the drags off and wipe the reel and rod with a damp
paper towel with a little simple green mixed 6 or 7 to one.
You will save money on bearings and have a smooth drag.
