Indian Creek is tough, in part, because the water is so clear. I do much better with light tackle, and even fly rod. In fact, flyfishing can be great at times. As for the trophy-size fish... the Florida-strain bass love all the Cenla lakes. They are tougher to catch than native Northern strain bass, and grow more rapidly in these deeper, clear lakes. Lakes Concordia, St. John, Grand Bayou, Caney hold the most numbers of 8+ pound fish, but Chicot, Indian Creek, Kincaid, Cotile, Anacoco all have a few.
